Read Aloud and Translations

The article text in World Book Discover can be read aloud for the student, increasing accessibility and comprehension. Click on the "Enable read-aloud toolbar" button in the Tools box to activate read-aloud, then click on the sentence you would like to have read aloud. Adjust the reading speed if necessary by toggling the "faster" and "slower" options in the read-aloud box.

For subscribers whose subscription includes Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos, links to the article text in Spanish (when available) will appear in the left-hand index column of the article page. For subscribers to L’Encyclopédie Découverte, a link to the French-language version of the encyclopedia (when available) will appear.

A computer-generated translation of the webpage will appear in a second browser window after you either choose Spanish or French or select a language from the drop-down list of more than 100 languages available and click the "Go" button.
