Students can gain further practice reading with the addition of monologues that are custom-tailored to correspond to the play scripts available on the site. Invite your students to explore the Dramatic Learning monologues on their own to launch independent study investigations before or after you read or stage the play. You could also use these elements to get your students excited about the subject matter before tackling the longer play.
Find Monologues in the Actor's Corner section on the home page. This will take you to a page with all of the monologues available on the site.
You can also find monologues on a play’s landing page or in the menu on the left side of a play page. If the play you’re working on has a monologue, it will be listed here.
Each monologue can be downloaded and printed as a Word document for easy distribution, and for in-class or take-home practice.
