Reading Level/Lexile® Measure

Users have the ability to search for material by Lexile® Measures in Kids, Student, Advanced, and eBooks.


About

Lexile search is available within each of the core products. The Lexile Measures are contained within the given product so a Lexile search in Kids will populate correlating articles within Kids

Kids, Student, & Advanced 

Regardless of the product, the ability to search by Lexile Measure is found in the same location (Advanced Search). The example below is in Advanced.

  1. To access Advanced Search in Kids, you must first conduct a standard search from the homepage. Then click Advanced Search at the top of the page.

    On Student and Advanced, you'll find Advanced Search on the Homepage beneath the search bar.

  2. Select Lexile Measure Search. Enter the Lexile range you would like your article to be in. Click Go!

  3. The results will be every article that falls in that range. To alter your range, use the search box at the top of the page.

  4. If you’d like your search to be more specific, use the Search for Words or a Phrase feature and enter the Lexile range there.

eBooks

You can find specific information, such as the Lexile measure, grade level, and AR level for each eBook from within the bookshelf by clicking the More Info button in the bottom right corner of a title, but you’d have to go into each title individually to find out the information from within eBooks.studentstudent

To search eBooks by this information you will need to open the eBook Title List.

  • In the eBook title list, you can use the drop down arrows to organize any column of information like the interest level, Lexile Measure, or AR Level.

  • By pressing Ctrl+F you can bring up a search bar for the eBook Title List, where you can search for a specific Lexile Measure, AR Level, or interest level.
